State police at Clearfield Six illegal aliens, all from Mexico, were apprehended yesterday following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Graham Township and were taken into custody by immigration enforcement agents. --- Troopers are investigating a simple assault that happened Friday in the Winburne area when one juvenile punched another juvenile in the face. --- The investigation continues in a theft from a motor vehicle after Tracey Turik of Winburne reported someone removed personal items from her vehicle while it was parked at a Valley Road residence in Cooper Township between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 2 p.m. Friday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800. --- Martha Engle of Bigler reported someone damaged outdoor lighting in her yard yesterday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. --- Someone pumped $16.70 worth of gas at Country Convenience in Morrisdale and left without paying yesterday. The investigation continues and troopers are seeking more information.
Clearfield Boro Someone removed a tank of gas from a vehicle on North Fifth Street. --- A Philipsburg man was arrested for public drunkenness. --- Several reports of bad checks were received. --- A Market Street resident reported a theft. --- Officers checked an open door at a Polk Street residence and determined nothing was taken. --- Police were called to assist Clearfield Hospital staff with an out-of-control patient. --- A noise complaint was reported along Zimmerman Avenue. --- Police arrested a man for driving under the influence and related charges and placed him in Clearfield County Jail after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle as it was running. The man attempted to flee, but was taken into custody. --- Officers assisted emergency medical services and mental health on East Locust Street. --- A noise complaint was reported on Daisy Street. --- Police were unable to locate a person who was driving recklessly into the borough. --- An intoxicated man reported at Choice was found to have consumed a large amount of prescription pills. He was taken to Clearfield Hospital.
Lawrence Township Officers served a warrant for another agency and transported a man to Clinton County for arraignment. --- An incident of harassment by communications was reported. --- Police responded to Edgewood Apartments to check the welfare of children who were reportedly struck by a belt, but the incident was unfounded. --- A theft of a license plate was reported at Walmart. --- A possible burglary was reported on Antes Hill Road. --- Police investigated a minor accident at McDonald's on state Route 879. --- Two juvenile females were arrested for underage consumption at the Clearfield Area High School football game. --- Officers were unable to locate a vehicle reportedly being driven recklessly on U.S. Route 322 near Dairy Queen. --- Police responded to the Hotel Heights area for a reported group of people armed with guns and knives who were ready to fight. Upon arrival, officers learned a large group of Hispanic men had fled, and several other people were escorted from the premises. State police, Clearfield Borough and Decatur Township police assisted. --- Officers responded to a Washington Avenue business where a man was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. He was cited for driving under suspension. --- Two women were transported to Clearfield Hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Park Avenue Extension when a vehicle pulled into the path of another vehicle while attempting to turn onto SR 879. --- Police responded to Clearfield hospital to speak with an assault victim and learned the incident had occurred between a mother and child. --- Officers responded to a reported 911 hang-up call and learned a child was playing with the phone. --- A traffic complaint was reported on Rockton Mountain Highway. --- Officers assisted state police with an injured bear that had been struck on Lick Run Hill. The state Game Commission was notified. --- In an act of criminal mischief, someone threw a large wooden block into a truck window in the Hyde area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 765-1647. --- Minor injuries were reported when an all-terrain vehicle struck a pickup truck at a camp off McGeorge Road. --- Reckless driving was reported in the Glen Richey area. --- An act of road rage was reported in the Antes Hill area involving a driver of an older burgundy truck. --- One driver, who was found to be intoxicated and was taken to Clearfield Hospital, was injured after their vehicle struck a tree on Mount Joy Road.
State police at Philipsburg No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident when Scott Garvey was driving onto Interstate 99 at the U.S. Route 322 on-ramp in Worth Township and his vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Wesley Beers of Tyrone, which struck the guide rail. Garvey left the scene, but later contacted police. --- An Osceola Mills man was charged with retail theft after stealing $49.81 in gasoline from the Uni-Mart at Cold Stream Dam in Rush Township Friday. --- Two individuals dressed in all black were reportedly seen attempting to gain access to Adam Sheffer's residence in Port Matilda Saturday by pulling and shaking the back door. They fled into a wooded area.
State police at Rockview Someone removed a 16-foot ladder tree stand from a wooded area near a camp on Hicklen Ridge Road in Snow Shoe Township between Oct. 3 and Saturday.
