State police at Clearfield No injuries were reported Tuesday when a vehicle driven by Jason Ralston of West Decatur struck a vehicle driven by Robert Houser of Smithmill, which was stopped at state routes 2011 and 53 in Bigler Township. --- On Tuesday, a one-vehicle accident happened on McNaul Street in Curwensville when Grace Teats of Curwensville was traveling west, her vehicle left the roadway and struck a piece of cement. Neither she nor her passenger, Bonnie Teats of Curwensville, were injured.
Clearfield Boro Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles after several unlocked vehicles were entered on West Side. --- An Altoona man faces charges after he allegedly removed a crossbow from a sporting goods store. It was recovered.
Lawrence Township No injuries were reported in a motorcycle accident on Mill Road. --- The owner of a master lock and key found at a church on Park Avenue Extension can claim them by contacting police at 765-1647. --- Officers worked in conjunction with the state police, Clearfield Borough and Sandy Township police, and Clearfield County Sheriff's Office to apprehend an escaped inmate in the Shawville area. --- In separate incidents, no injuries were reported in two-vehicle accidents at Turnpike Avenue and Mill Road and on SR 879. --- An unwanted highly intoxicated man at Lawrence Park Village was located and found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and was housed in Clearfield County Jail.
State police at DuBois Between Sept. 11-18, someone removed a portable toilet from a job site along Anderson Creek Road in Huston Township.
State police at Philipsburg The investigation continues after a mother in Worth Township, Centre County, reportedly allowed her 15- and 17-year-old daughters to have marijuana, alcohol and to have sexual relations with men older than 18 between Nov. 1-30, 2008. --- Rusty Allan Coble of Grassflat was traveling west on SR 504 (Rattlesnake Pike) at about 3:46 p.m. yesterday when he fell asleep while negotiating a right curve. The vehicle drifted across the eastbound lane, exited the roadway, traveled about 85 feet and struck a tree head-on. Coble was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College before being transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for treatment of severe injuries. Hope and Reliance fire companies and Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services, all of Philipsburg, assisted at the scene.
State police at Rockview Someone used a Snow Shoe man's debit card to access adult Web sites on at least two occasions between Sept. 8-11.
