State police at Clearfield Gary Hess of Mahaffey reported someone damaged his mailbox between 9 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. yesterday. --- Someone attempted to gain entry to a Mineral Springs residence along Post Office Road between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. yesterday by smashing out a window. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800. --- The investigation continues after the Beccaria Township municipal building was damaged when a black, plastic mailbox was thrown through the front door window between Saturday and Sunday. --- Several mailboxes were damaged near Bloomington Avenue and Bloomington Avenue Extension in Pike Township between Saturday and Sunday. Troopers are seeking more information. --- Michelle Peoples of Coalport reported someone used a sharp object to scratch the driver's side and trunk lid of her car while it was parked in a lot along Main Street between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday. Troopers ask anyone with information to call them. --- Troopers are seeking more information in a burglary that occurred at a Beccaria Township residence during which someone gained access through an unlocked door and removed several guns.
Clearfield Boro Two females became involved in a verbal altercation near East Cherry Street, and one left prior to police arrival. --- A vehicle-pedestrian accident occurred at West Second Avenue and West Market Street when a male was struck by a truck while assisting the fire department with a call in the area. He was transported to Clearfield Hospital and later flown via medical helicopter to Altoona Regional Health System. Lawrence Township The investigation continues in an incident of theft by unlawful taking. --- Following an incident of criminal mischief and vandalism at Crown Crest Cemetery, the public is reminded that anyone caught vandalizing property will be arrested. --- A domestic incident was turned over to the Clearfield Borough police after it was determined it occurred in their jurisdiction. --- Police were called to the Hyde Uni-Mart and Hyde firehall for an incident in which a 12-year-old boy was reportedly being harassed by other students. --- Officers advised the person responsible for an incident of harassment to stop of they would be arrested. --- Those involved in an incident of harassment were advised not to have contact with one another. --- Four arrest warrants were served, and the individuals were sentenced to fines and costs. --- Extra patrols will be provided following reports of vehicles speeding on Bailey Settlement Highway and Weaver Street Extension. --- An assault occurred along Clarendon Avenue. --- A hit-and-run accident happened at Wal-Mart Supercenter. --- A report of an attempted burglary was received from a Hillsdale resident. --- Officers received a report of a young child with hunting knives at Edgewood Apartments.
State police at DuBois No charges were filed after a known person used a Brockway man's debit card at various locations in Brockway and Sandy Township without his permission. The person responsible agreed to pay for the charges. --- Charges of harassment were filed against a DuBois after he engaged in a workplace argument at a business along U.S. Route 219. He reportedly picked up working order papers and struck a Brockway man in the chest.
Sandy Township The manager of Isabella's Restaurant was contact following a report of loud music. --- On Saturday, a truck belonging to a Dixon Avenue man was stolen while it was parked in front of the West Sandy firehall, but it was returned later that day. --- The investigation continues after officers found a highly intoxicated Treasure Lake man slumped over the steering wheel in his car in the DuBois Mall parking lot. Officers made several attempts to wake the man before he responded. --- Officers spoke to the owner of a dog along Atlantic Avenue that is tied outside all day while its owner is at work and its barking causes a disturbance. --- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Saturday on Clear Run Road when a driver failed to see traffic slowed ahead and his vehicle struck the back of another vehicle. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center for chemical testing. --- Police handled an incident of a barking dog on Shaft Road. --- A DuBois woman reported she and her 46 year-old boyfriend had been receiving harassing text messages from a 22-year-old Falls Creek woman and a 21 year-old boyfriend. Upon speaking to those involved, police determined all were sending harassing text messages to each other. --- A man reportedly lost a set of keys at Spider Lake athletic field.
State police at Philipsburg On Sunday, an accident happened on South Centre Street in Philipsburg when a vehicle struck the back of a vehicle slowing for traffic ahead and fled the scene prior to police arrival. Hope Fire Co. of Philipsburg assisted at the scene. --- The investigation continues in an incident of sexual offense that occurred between July 14 and Saturday. Someone threatened an 11-year-old girl and asked her to send pornographic pictures to him on his cell phone. --- Troopers are investigating an attempted theft from a vehicle at Fourth and Laurel streets Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 342-3370.
