State police at Clearfield
Yesterday, police apprehended four illegal aliens following a traffic violation on Interstate 80 in Bradford Township.
Hugo Cruz-Quezada, Oscar Ernesto Velazquez-Malotela, Carlos Roblero-Calderon, and Isaac Valerio-Diaz, all of Mexico, were turned over to the Customs and Border Protection from the Erie office for removal.

Troopers are investigating two thefts that happened between 10:30 a.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. yesterday.
Tim Iraca of Coalport reported that someone stole three log chains valued at $200 from an area on Ball Hollow Road and a Bostitch air nailer valued at $250 from a construction site on Peaceful Endings Lane. The actor then fled the scene.

Clearfield Boro
Police recovered a purse in a yard on the 500 block of East Sixth Street. The owner may claim the item by calling police.

The investigation continues into the theft of copper wire from a Clearfield business.

A minor accident was reported yesterday. Ryan Tressler of Morrisdale was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Reed Street and North Second Street.
He told police he couldn't get out into traffic, so he attempted to back up. He said he saw no vehicles behind him, but struck a stopped vehicle driven by Bryan Bortot of Curwensville that was behind him.
No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

Lawrence Township
The investigation continues into reports of damaged mailboxes in the Country Club area. Police are looking for a pickup truck with several male occupants that was reported in the area at the time of the incidents.

An act of trespass and criminal mischief was reported and handled at the scene.

Officers are investigating a report of a St. Marys woman who allegedly smuggled a controlled substance into the Clearfield County Jail.

An act of criminal mischief was reported at Valley View Drive.

A stolen purse was reported at Wal-Mart. The purse was located after a review of the store's security tape.

The investigation continues into an act of harassment involving a 9-year-old girl who was struck by another juvenile.

Police are investigating a possible theft ring that has been taking place at a local store. Officers have been in contact with a police department in Ohio that has reported similar thefts.

One man was taken to jail following a large fight at Edgewood Apartments.
The man reportedly had a handgun in his possession. Police found the weapon wrapped in several T-shirts and concealed in a garbage can.
A second man was jailed for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Police could not locate a man who was reportedly seen removing items from a vehicle on Graham Street in Hyde.

State police at Punxsy
Between June 30 and Aug. 30, someone removed an SKS rifle with folding stock from a Shepard Lane residence in Burnside Township.
The rifle is valued at approximately $100.

State police at DuBois

Ronald Park of Sykesville reported that a known person removed his camper trailer from a Mount Pleasant Road location in Huston Township on Aug. 13.
The camper was later returned to its owner.

DuBois City
On Saturday, police responded to a reported explosion in the DuBois Country Club area. Upon arrival, it was determined that the explosion was fireworks or an M-80 that was thrown from the deck of the country club.
No one at the club could provide information regarding the explosion.

While on patrol Sunday, police saw a man urinating in the alley near the Fort Worth. Police spoke with two men and cited Joseph Jewell and Mathew Solada for public drunkenness.
Both were transported to the Jewell residence.
While responding to the incident in the alley, officers witnessed another man begin urinating on the building.
Paul Drobny was cited for disorderly conduct and urinating in public. He was released to the custody of his wife, who was waiting for him in the parking lot.

State police at Philipsburg
Sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. yesterday someone on an all-terrain vehicle rode onto the No. 1 green at the B.P.O. Elks/Philipsburg Country Club and bored two holes in the green about 4 inches deep.
The same ATV also tore up the greens of the No. 8 hole and the rider stole the flag for the No. 1 hole.
Damage is estimated at about $1,500. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call the police at 342-3370.
