State police at Clearfield Yesterday, police responded to an act of harassment that happened at a Jerry Run Road residence in Goshen Township. Four Clearfield residents were allegedly involved in a verbal dispute that turned into a minor physical altercation. --- Michael Little lost control of his vehicle yesterday while negotiating a curve on Winburne-Munson Road. His vehicle struck a telephone pole on the right side of the road, returned to the roadway and came to rest facing north. Mr. Little fled the scene on foot. Troopers could not determine if he was injured or if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. --- Terry Bradton of Irvona reported that someone removed his 2009 Can-Am Outlander 800 all-terrain vehicle from the parking lot of Shawn's Corner Bar in Irvona yesterday. Mr. Bradton left the black and yellow vehicle in the parking lot due to mechanical problems. When he returned to pick it up, he found it had been stolen. The vehicle also has a windshield and black plastic Tamrack boxes on the front and back. It has "Can-Am" in black letters across the bottom of the windshield. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. --- The investigation continues into the theft of prescription medication from a New Millport residence. Between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. yesterday, someone removed a bottle of Prednisone containing 60 5-milligram tablets and then fled the scene.
Clearfield Boro No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident that happened at the intersection of Bridge Street and Park Place. A vehicle driven by a Woodland man was struck by that of a Grassflat resident. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Lawrence Township An act of harassment by communications was reported. --- A weed eater was found at the local composting site and may be claimed by contacting police. --- Police will increase patrols in the Mount Joy Road area following reports of suspicious activity. --- Officers were called to check the welfare of juveniles who were walking near Litz Bridge. The individuals were OK. --- A disabled vehicle was reported. --- Police responded to repeated 911 hang-up calls and learned that a 5-year-old child was playing with the phone. --- Officers handled a neighbor dispute. --- A possible wiretapping violation was reported. --- An act of retail theft was reported at Wal-Mart where two women attempted to remove items from the store without paying for them.
State police at DuBois A Falls Creek man reported the theft of a girl's 20-inch bicycle from his Third Street residence between Monday and Tuesday. The bike is blue, pink, and silver. Following several reports of thefts, police remind residents to secure items outside and to lock exterior buildings.
State police at Philipsburg Two Philipsburg residents were engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical on Loch Lomond Road in Centre County Aug. 16.
