Police investigating man's death at party

DUBOIS - State police at DuBois are investigating the death of a 23-year-old DuBois man.
Joshua Michael Giles died early Saturday morning after he was run over by a vehicle at a residence along state Route 219 in Washington Township, Jefferson County.
According to the police report, a large party involving underage drinking took place at the residence. A known guest was backing a vehicle down a driveway when the driver accidentally ran over the victim. After seeing the body in the driveway and realizing the man had been run over, the subject reportedly fled the scene on SR 219. Other guests placed a 911 call, but Mr. Giles died at the scene.
Approximately 35 guests fled the scene after the incident. One remained until the police and ambulance arrived. In addition to the death investigation, police are also investigating the issue of furnishing alcohol.
