State police at Clearfield

Between 12 a.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday, someone stole approximately 20 road construction cones from Maxwell Trucking and Excavating Inc. on state Route 53 between Houtzdale and Madera.

Damage is estimated at approximately $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

A Bigler woman reported that someone stole two lawn ornaments from the porch of her Bigler Court Lane residence between noon Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday. Damage is estimated at $18.

Clearfield Boro

Following several reports of people attempting to get into vehicles, police remind residents to make sure their vehicles are locked at all times.

Lawrence Township

The investigation continues into acts of criminal mischief that happened in the Glen Richey area on July 12.

Police are investigating an incident of counterfeiting. A local businessman reported that he received a counterfeit $10 bill.

The investigation continues into a burglary that happened at a business along SR 2024 on the Old Erie Pike. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Several used syringes were recovered from a local apartment complex.

A boy's 26-inch bicycle was reported missing from a Riverview Road residence. The investigation continues.

An act of criminal mischief was reported at the Lawrence Park Village when someone put a blue ink substance in several vehicles.

Officers responded to a fight in progress in the Hillsdale area. Upon arrival, several people were found standing in the roadway, but those involved in the fight reportedly fled.

Police were called to check the welfare of a child at Lawrence Park Village and found the child was being returned home by an adult.

Children who were playing with pay phones at Sapp Brothers Truck Stop reportedly made hang-up calls to 911.

Two juveniles were taken to the police station after they were reportedly looking into and attempting to gain access into vehicles to get cigarettes. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.

State police at Punxsy

A 12-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the thigh by his cousin yesterday at a Hatten Road location in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

The boy was accidentally shot with a pellet gun while his cousin was shooting at aluminum cans. He was taken to the Brookville Area Hospital for treatment.

State police at DuBois

Troopers are investigating an act of harassment and assault that happened Thursday at a residence along SR 219 in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.

Ricky Lee Anderson allegedly shoved and struck a woman during an argument. He then fled the scene. Police have obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Mr. Anderson is known to frequent the Brockway, Sykesville, DuBois, Ridgway and St. Marys areas. The 42-year-old is approximately 6 feet tall, weights 170 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.

Darren Bogacki of Reynoldsville suffered minor injuries Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle while rounding a curve on SR 219 in Bloom Township.

The vehicle rotated, struck an embankment, and overturned. It came to rest in an upright position facing west.

Mr. Bogacki was taken by ambulance to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A two-vehicle accident happened Sunday on Interstate 80 in Union Township, Jefferson County.

Joy English of Morrisdale was traveling east when she struck the trailer of a vehicle that was stopped in the left lane in a work zone.

Ms. English was taken by ambulance to the Brookville Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, Nathaniel Johnson of Michigan, was not injured.

Sandy Township

A Watson Highway woman reported being harassed by her husband Wednesday.

A man reported that his estranged wife hit him Wednesday when he went to her home to visit his children.

The investigation continues into the theft of an all-terrain vehicle from a Cayman Landing campsite.

A DuBois woman reported that her GPS was taken from her vehicle Wednesday at a Cayman Landing campsite.

On Wednesday, a Treasure Lake man reported that he saw a vehicle stop near his home. He then heard what he believed to be gunshots and saw a deer running from the area.

Police are investigating the unauthorized use of a check card.

A Brockway woman reported that her vehicle was struck Friday in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

No injuries were reported Friday when a Treasure Lake man lost control of his vehicle on Clear Run Road.

No charges were filed in an ongoing incident of harassment.

A Michigan man reported that his vehicle had been followed by another vehicle on I-80. Police spoke to the driver of the other vehicle who reported that he wanted to confront the driver because he cut him off at the merge point for a construction site.

A Keen Court Drive woman reported that a bike and lawn mower were taken from her yard.

---

A Wisconsin truck driver reported that someone struck his truck while it was parked at Pilot.

---

A teenage girl was cited for harassment Saturday after she and her mother allegedly tried to provoke a fight at the DuBois Mall.

---

An ATV that had been chained to the back of a trailer at a Cayman Landing campsite was reportedly stolen.

---

No injuries were reported Sunday when a vehicle driven by a DuBois man collided with a tractor-trailer on Rich Highway.

The driver and passenger were both seen fleeing the area, but later turned themselves in at the police station.

A verbal argument was handled at Country Place.

Alcohol is a suspected factor in a single-vehicle accident that happened Sunday when a DuBois man lost control of his vehicle on Wayne Road. The vehicle overturned onto its roof. The driver suffered minor injuries.

State police at Philipsburg

Someone entered the vehicle of Vickie Pettina of Philipsburg while it was parked on the 100 block of North Fifth Street overnight Sunday. A wallet containing a driver's license and other miscellaneous cards was removed. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 342-3370.

Whitney Smith, 15, of Philipsburg left her residence on Womer Road in Rush Township sometime overnight Sunday. Police are asking anyone with information relative to this missing person to call police.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on SR 350 in Taylor Township Sunday. A Warriors Mark man was traveling northbound when he fell asleep and his vehicle drifted to the right side of the road, sideswiped a tree and hit another head-on. The man fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival, but he was later identified after he contacted police to report the accident several hours later. Police issued several citations.

Someone entered a vehicle belonging to a West Decatur resident while it was parked along South Front Street in Philipsburg July 13 and removed $100 in cash. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

A 22-year-old Philipsburg man was charged with criminal mischief July 20 after he shot an arrow into the shed of a neighbor residing on the 100 block of North Fourth Street in Philipsburg.

State police at Rockview

Police are investigating an incident of indecent assault that allegedly occurred at a private residence in Walker Township July 19.
