State police at Clearfield

Troopers are investigating a reported indecent assault that happened in April involving a 14-year-old girl and a man.

A hit-and-run accident was reported on state Route 53 in Morris Township Sunday when a vehicle struck and sheared off a utility pole and fled the scene.

---

On Sunday, a hit-and-run accident was reported when a vehicle struck a vehicle parked on Good Street in Houtzdale and fled the scene.

---

In an act of criminal mischief, someone damaged the siding on a residence along Hopkins Street in Irvona and threw eggs at a vehicle.

Following a traffic stop at a sobriety checkpoint on SR 53 in Decatur Township, a Curwensville woman was arrested for driving under the influence.

The investigation continues in an incident of theft by unlawful taking that happened between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. yesterday when someone removed river stone from the state Department of Transportation training center in Karthaus Township.

Troopers are seeking more information.

Troopers apprehended seven illegal aliens from Mexico yesterday during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Graham Township. The Office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted and they were taken into custody.

Between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. yesterday, someone removed a large trash bag full of aluminum cans from a Curwensville residence.

Clearfield Boro

A possible incident of DUI was reported in the Park Avenue and South Fourth Street area. Police contacted the driver and determined he was not intoxicated.

Officers assisted the probation department on West Side.

A domestic argument was reported on East Ninth Street.

---

Police arrested a man for possession with intent to deliver after he was found with approximately 287 grams of marijuana in his backpack.

He was arraigned and placed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

A parking complaint was reported along North Third Street.

Lawrence Township

Police assisted state parole officers in securing a parole violator.

The Lawrence Township Supervisors corrected a malfunctioning traffic light in Hyde.

---

Increased patrols will be provided in the Goshen Road area following a traffic complaint.

A parking complaint was reported on Krebs Highway.

---

A barking dog was reported on Clarks Hill Road and the dog warden was contacted.

---

A disabled vehicle was reported on U.S. Route 322.

 

State police at Philipsburg

Someone forcibly entered the concession stand at Black Moshannon State Park between midnight and 8 a.m. yesterday through a side door and removed approximately $850 in cash, and unsuccessfully attempted to enter the boat concession stand.

Decatur Township

On Wednesday, an Osceola Mills man was cited for operating a go-cart on the streets and it was determined he was wanted by the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office on several warrants.

The investigation continues after someone threw a bag containing a glass bottle onto a Spring Street resident's driveway in Osceola Mills Wednesday.

Police are investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Harbor Inn parking lot, where four individuals were in possession of a small amount of illegal drugs.

State police at Rockview

Carrie Walker of Snow Shoe suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident on SR 144 in Snow Shoe Township yesterday when she turned left from the westbound lane into the path of a vehicle driven by Todd Bennett of Mill Hall.

Someone stole a rechargeable battery, valued at $200, from a Kyocera solar panel unit at the Geo Trans work site off of Hall Road in Snow Shoe Township.

Also, those responsible caused an estimated $20 in damage to a chain link fence gate hinges.
