State police at Clearfield
The investigation continues in an act of criminal mischief that occurred between 11 p.m. Monday and 9:50 a.m. yesterday when someone smashed a mailbox along North McAteer Street in Houtzdale.

In an incident of theft reported June 22, a United Kingdom resident made approximately $89 in charges on a Curwensville man's bankcard.

Between 9 p.m. Monday and 6:10 a.m. yesterday, someone stole a 1991 LT 250 Suzuki Quad Racer, valued at $1,000, from a Karthaus residence.

Troopers are investigating and seeking more information in an act of criminal mischief that happened today at 1:37 a.m. when someone shot two holes in the bottom of a transformer on state Route 3007 in Knox Township.

On Sunday, a New Hampshire woman was not injured when she was negotiating a right curve on Interstate 80 in Graham Township, lost control of her vehicle when it drifted onto the berm and she attempted to regain control. It traveled approximately 165 feet through a grassy median, where it then overturned.
A teenage girl suffered minor injuries, but two other passengers were uninjured.

A phone scam has been reported in which pre-recorded calls have been placed from 305-000-4296 that prompt the person to supply credit card information. When the number is called, it does not exist.
Residents are reminded not to provide personal information over the phone and disconnect such calls when they are received.

State police at Punxsy
On Tuesday, a LaJose man reported someone drove a vehicle from SR 3003 into his yard and spun circles.
State police at DuBois
Shawna Miles of Luthersburg suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday on Oklahoma Salem Road in Brady Township.
She was traveling south when her vehicle entered the northbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by Daniel Corbett of DuBois.
Ms. Miles was transported to Altoona Regional Health System, but Mr. Corbett was not injured.

The investigation continues in an act of criminal mischief that happened between May 29 and June 9 when someone caused an estimated $250 in damage to an outdoor air conditioning unit at Keystone Clinic in Falls Creek.

Treasure Lake Security reported someone drove through a median on Coral Reef Road Monday night and damaged the turf and several signposts.

A DuBois man was taken into custody Tuesday after Wal-Mart employees saw him attempt to break into vehicles in the parking lot.
He tried to flee the scene and was quickly apprehended by police.

Police investigated an incident in which several young men were reportedly harassing a young female on Fire Tower Road in the Sierra Heights area and found a vehicle pulled along the road with several male and female teenagers in and around it.
When police approached, the teens attempted to flee and became belligerent when the vehicle got stuck in the mud.
The teens also became belligerent with officers, who found alcohol in the vehicle, but determined that the girls were not harmed.

William Gartner of Port Matilda reported someone lit a smoke bomb on the front porch of his residence between 10 p.m. Monday and 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and caused the concrete to turn black.

Troopers cited a West Decatur man for harassment after he allegedly entered a Julian woman's bedroom and asked where the bathroom was.
After the woman told him where it was, he got onto her bed and started to touch her arm. She asked him to stop several times, but he did not until she yelled for her husband.

The investigation continues in an incident in which a Halfmoon Township resident discovered a small metal pipe believed to be used for smoking marijuana inside their vehicle June 10.

Corey Timblin of Philipsburg was not injured when he fell asleep while driving on U.S. Route 322 in Rush Township yesterday. The vehicle traveled onto the shoulder, over a shallow drainage ditch and metal drain, continued across a dirt driveway, struck a mailbox and came to rest after threading itself between trees and striking a tree stump.
