State police at Clearfield
Roger Curley of Reynoldsville suffered moderate injuries yesterday when he lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a left curve on U.S. Route 219 in Penn Township and it struck the guide rail. He was thrown from the bike and transported via medical helicopter to the Altoona Regional Health System.
Grampian Fire Co. and Curwensville Emergency Medical Services assisted.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday on Smay Road in Pike Township when David Caldwell was traveling south, lost control of his vehicle, it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday, someone damaged a mailbox belonging to Sheila Rogers of Woodland.

Police responded to a disturbance on Reed Street.

The investigation continues after a Johnsonburg resident reported someone removed a debit card and used it at a Lawrence Township business.

Police report an oil spill in the Bowmans Hill Road area.

A hit-and-run accident was reported at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.

In separate incidents of 911 hang-up calls on Firetower Road, a female and a child mistakenly dialed the number.

A phone scam has been reported in which callers from the Washington, D.C., area state they are with general services and are calling residents to inform them that they won large sums of money.
The callers state that residents must pay a small fee in order to receive the funds.
Residents are reminded not to give personal information over the phone.

Officers handled a domestic disturbance on Clark Street.

An incident of trespassing was reported along West Front Street.

A Clearfield man arrested for DUI and was found to have a warrant for his arrest from the sheriff's department.

Police responded to a tree on fire on Industrial Park Road, learned that it had been struck by lightning and fire personnel extinguished the flames.

Downed wires were reported in the Old Erie Pike area. Officers cleared the debris while fire personnel tended to the wires.
State police at DuBois
Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College reported numerous power tools, valued at more than $1,100, were removed from a locked construction box on Interstate 80 near mile marker 102 between 3 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Jamie Lefever of DuBois was treated for injuries he suffered Tuesday after he fell asleep while traveling on U.S. 219 in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.
He lost control of the vehicle after it left the roadway and struck the guide rail. It rotated and slid across the road before it struck an embankment and overturned.
Mr. Lefever was treated at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Eric Pinge of Brockway reported someone removed an iPod and two coolers from his unlocked vehicle parked at The Hut Restaurant on U.S. 219 Tuesday.

Between June 18 and Sunday, a small stainless steel refrigerator, valued at approximately $250, was stolen from the side porch of a Schofield Street residence.

Yesterday, a vehicle struck a deer on state Route 3040 in Huston Township, Centre County.

Someone vandalized a pickup truck between Wednesday and yesterday in Stormstown, Halfmoon Township by applying adhesive to the windshield wiper and gas tank cap area, causing several hundred dollars in damage.

The operator of a motorcycle was taken via medical helicopter to Altoona Regional for treatment of major injuries following an accident yesterday on SR 970 in Rush Township when he failed to negotiate a left curve.
He was not wearing a helmet.
