State police at Clearfield
David Shank of Irvona suffered minor injuries June 7 when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve on state Route 3005 in Jordan Township, it left the roadway and struck an embankment.

The vehicle then struck two signs and an embankment, became airborne and landed across both lanes, where it struck a utility pole.

Mr. Shank was transported to Altoona Regional Health System.

Irvona Volunteer Fire Co. and Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.

Following an incident on SR 879 in Pike Township June 5, a Grampian man was charged with driving under the influence.

Clearfield Boro
Someone moved flowers and a bench from an East End resident's property to her neighbor's.

Yesterday, a two-vehicle accident was reported at Second and East Market streets when Amanda Gill of Olanta went through a red light and her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Kathleen Letcher of LaJose.

Ms. Letcher was taken to Clearfield Hospital for a minor head injury.

Someone removed solar lights from a Hillsdale residence.

Fraudulent activity was reported in which someone was taking money from a checking account via the Internet.

The investigation continues in a report of harassment involving a Hyde man who allegedly harassed a woman through text messaging and phone calls.

Officers handled an incident regarding the recovery and return of firearms.

The theft of medication was reported.

Following a domestic incident on Rocky Lane, a 14-year-old girl was transported to Children and Youth Services.

A woman was taken into custody following an incident of retail theft at Wal-Mart.

Police assisted mental health personnel along Leonard Street.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at Glen Richey and Krebs highways.

The investigation continues in a reported theft.

Police assisted CYS with a house check in Hyde.

DuBois City
No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident Monday at Osburn's on Liberty Boulevard.

Police responded to the Social Security Office Monday for the report of a man with a concealed firearm and an expired permit.

Officers spoke with members of the Federal Protection Agency, who said the man entered the building and declared his firearm as required by federal statute. The officer checked the information and noted that the permit had expired. The man turned the weapon over to police. He can retrieve it when he secures a valid permit.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Monday at South State Street and Spring Avenue in which a driver reported he was backing his vehicle from the firehall and failed to see another vehicle.

The investigation continues in a medical emergency Tuesday along East Long Avenue involving an underage male with alcohol poisoning.

A two-vehicle accident happened Tuesday at East Long Avenue and North Church Street when one vehicle pulled across the intersection and struck an oncoming vehicle. No injuries were reported.

One person was transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center Tuesday following a motorcycle accident on First Street.

State police at Philipsburg
A Philipsburg woman reported a breach of contract between herself and "Sunrise Homes Inc." of State College, which declared bankruptcy and reportedly deceived the woman out of nearly $54,000.

The Centre County District Attorney's Office was consulted.

In a hit-and-run accident on SR 970 in Rush Township June 4, a log truck struck a telephone wire strung across State Street in Sandy Ridge.

On Tuesday and yesterday, a Philipsburg Borough woman received unwanted phone calls.

Troopers investigated an alleged incident of harassment in which two Port Matilda residents became involved in a physical altercation June 10.

Following a motorcycle accident on South Eagle Road near Egypt Hollow Road Sunday, a Port Matilda man was arrested for DUI of alcohol. He lost control of the motorcycle, it left the road and struck an embankment.

He was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
