State police at Clearfield

The investigation continues in an act of criminal mischief Saturday in Beccaria Township when someone removed a headstone from a cemetery and discarded it along state Route 865.

Cody Hook of Philipsburg suffered minor injuries Sunday when his vehicle crossed the centerline on SR 53, left the roadway, struck a mailbox, continued south for approximately 150 feet and struck a tree.

Fanecia Adamson of Clearfield was flown via medical helicopter to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital yesterday following a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Bradford Township.

Ms. Adamson was traveling east when, for unknown reasons, she attempted to conduct a U-turn and her vehicle entered the path of a vehicle driven by a Wisconsin man, who was not injured.

Clearfield Boro

Following reports of cats roaming in the Barclay and McBride streets areas, police remind residents that cats must be kept confined to their properties.

Property owners are allowed to trap the cats and call animal control. They will then be taken to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

A Clearfield resident was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia in the form of hypodermic needles.

Shortly after midnight, a man walking along West Front Street was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

An intoxicated man was found staggering along Bigler Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Police responded to a barking dog complaint along Elk Avenue at approximately 4:30 a.m.

---

The investigation continues in a hit-and-run accident on East Fifth Street last night when a gray van struck the back of a parked car.

Lawrence Township

Suspicious people were reportedly panhandling at SR 879 and Supercenter Drive and police notified them of ordinances and advised them to leave.

Extra patrols will be provided following reports of all-terrain vehicles trespassing on private land in the Norman Road area.

During a traffic detail, officers issued four warnings and five citations.

---

The investigation continues in an act of criminal mischief at Crown Crest Cemetery when someone struck and damaged the chapel siding.

---

Police could not locate a tractor-trailer that reportedly made a U-turn on the bypass.

---

A man suffered moderate injuries after he lost control of his motorcycle when it struck a large pothole on Hill Street.

He was transported to Clearfield Hospital. Lawrence Township Fire Department No. 1 and Clearfield Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.

Officers checked the welfare of an individual who reportedly ingested numerous prescription pills, but found everything to be OK.

---

Juveniles who were reportedly trespassing at Centre Elementary School in the county club area were gone when police arrived.

---

A fireworks complaint was reported at Lawrence Park Village.

---

Officers could not locate a vehicle involved in a traffic complaint on Washington Avenue.

---

Suspicious activity was reported in Hyde when someone reportedly knocked on a door in the early morning hours. Police were unable to locate the individual.

State police at DuBois

On Wednesday night, an intoxicated DuBois man was taken to DuBois Regional Medical Center after he was found stumbling into traffic on SR 830 and Larkeytown Road.

Troopers are investigating a burglary that happened between May 23 and Monday along Anderson Creek Road.

A DuBois man reported someone broke into his camp and damaged nearly all the contents including furniture, appliances, windows and lamps.

Curwensville Boro

Officers are investigating an assault that happened Monday in the Curwensville Area High School student parking lot. One male student was treated at Clearfield Hospital as a result.

Several people have pumped gas into vehicles at Uni-Mart on State Street without paying. Those apprehended will be arrested.

---

The investigation continues in an incident in which the code enforcement officer attempted to speak with a Susquehanna Street resident and the property owner became disorderly and threatened the officer.

The resident failed to obtain proper permits for construction on the home.

Residents are reminded that such behavior will not be tolerated and those who fail to cooperate will be cited.

A burglary was reported at a Windy Hill Road Extension residence when someone removed a large number of hand tools from the residence and storage shed.
