State police at Clearfield

The investigation continues in a one-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer that overturned on Interstate 80 today at approximately 5:29 a.m. It blocked both lanes in a construction zone and traffic was detoured at exit 101 and rerouted to state Route 153 to exit 111.

In conjunction with Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department, troopers will provide operation "My Safe Prom Night." Members of Clearfield Borough Police Department will also be assisting under an aggressive driving grant.

The operation will be held in conjunction with the West Branch Area High School prom Friday and Saturday.

Troopers noted prom night traditionally is an event where the exuberance of youth collides with alcohol, drugs and inexperience behind the wheel of a vehicle. Serious injuries and fatal crashes are often the result of what should be an exciting and enjoyable high school experience.

The goal of the operation is to prevent crashes and preserve life.

Troopers are investigating the theft of 32 hydrocodone pills from a Curwensville-Grampian Highway residence between Wednesday and Saturday.

The investigation continues in a burglary that happened between May 3 and Sunday when someone forcibly entered and ransacked a Water Street residence in Curwensville and broke four windows.

Clearfield Boro

Police are investigating a burglary at Subway on West Front Street between Friday and Saturday in which a large sum of cash was removed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 765-7819.

The investigation continues in an incident on South Fifth Street when someone entered a residence.

Officers assisted with a crisis at a Daisy Street residence.

A juvenile who reportedly ran away from a South Second Street residence was located a short distance from the home and taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Police recovered a small fishing boat reportedly stolen from a Lawrence Township residence.

---

An individual reportedly lost her cell phone.

---

Two individuals reportedly looking in vehicles at a local establishment left prior to police arrival.

---

Someone lost a set of keys in the borough.

---

A parking complaint was reported near the courthouse.

---

Following a reported phone scam involving an offer to extend a vehicle warranty, police warn residents never to provide personal information over the phone.

---

Police located the owner of a dog found wandering along East 10th Street.

---

A suspicious vehicle reported along West Front Street was found to be unoccupied.

Lawrence Township

An act of criminal mischief happened at the state Department of Transportation in Hyde when someone entered the storage yard and overturned a kiosk and a flashing sign.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 765-1647.

Officers have a person of interest in an incident in which a wallet was stolen from a Brown Street residence.

Police interviewed a woman regarding contraband that was smuggled in the jail.

---

A Woodland woman was cited for retail theft at the Tan Zone.

The owner of a debit card recovered at First Commonwealth Bank on SR 879 should contact police.

---

Borough police contacted officers regarding a boat floating in the river that was possibly stolen from a township resident. The owners were able to retrieve the boat.

Police have a person of interest, but ask anyone with information to contact them.

Officers assisted with a medical emergency in the Glen Richey area.

---

Police were called to check the welfare of children riding bikes on Weaver Street Extension, but the children lef before police arived.

The investigation continues in a possible hit-and-run accident on Old Town Road.

In separate incidents at Lawrence Park Village, a disturbance and an unwanted person were reported.

---

A possible fire reported near Elliott Park was determined to be a controlled burn.

State police at Philipsburg

In separate incidents, charges were filed against a Port Matilda man and two Port Matilda women for issuing checks to Lykens Market that were returned for insufficient funds.

Decatur Township

On Saturday, a harassment complaint was filed by a Houtzdale woman after a man contacted her and she wanted no further contact.

The investigation continues after a man was reportedly cleaning a gun and accidentally shot himself in the leg Saturday along Copelin Road.

Someone slashed the tires on a Morrisdale resident's vehicle in the Pro-Care parking lot Friday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 339-6775.

Following a verbal domestic dispute Friday on Good Street in Houtzdale, police advised those involved how to proceed with a civil complaint.

A McAteer Street resident in Houtzdale reported she was harassed by several local juveniles.

The juveniles and their parents were issued a warning.

No injuries were reported in an accident Friday in the Peeble' Plaza.

---

Clearfield County Children, Youth and Family Services assisted police in the investigation of a possible incident of child endangerment in Houtzdale.

It was determined the child's injuries were most likely caused by an accident involving a tricycle.

Police responded to a noise complaint Friday and asked those responsible to turn down the music.
