Police respond to ethanol site for report of armed man

Clearfield Borough police responded yesterday to a report of a man with a firearm at the Bionol ethanol plant site at the Clearfield Technology Park on Bigler Avenue. The man was driving a gray van and was said to be looking for the foreman.
In addition to borough police, Lawrence Township police and the Clearfield County Sheriff's Department responded and determined that the man was a plain clothes liquor control agent.
The Clearfield Borough Code Enforcement Office assisted with traffic and crowd control.
