Joey Lynn Offutt case to again be on TV
Friday, December 12, 2008

FALLS CREEK - State police at DuBois and the television show "America's Most Wanted" have partnered up to highlight the Joey Lynn Offutt case in search of leads. Once again, tune into "America's Most Wanted" tomorrow at 9 p.m. on Fox TV. A short synopsis of the previous airing of the case continues.

Information is sought concerning Ms. Offutt's whereabouts and the death of her infant child.

A yearlong investigation by members of Troop C of the Pennsylvania State Police continues into a structure fire that occurred July 12 at approximately 4 a.m. at 90 Dr. Fugate Drive in Sykesville.

The fire consumed a large portion of the residence and an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall Unit has concluded that the fire was intentionally set.

State police are requesting assistance from the general public in locating the resident of the home, Ms. Offutt, 33, who has been missing since the time of the fire. Ms. Offutt is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, has a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. She has been officially declared a missing person and has been entered into the national crime information center database.

On July 16, 2007, Ms. Offutt's red 1994 Saturn Coupe bearing Virginia registration No. JXN8871 was located along Waupelani Drive in State College, but Ms. Offutt remains missing.

As previously reported, the remains of the infant child were discovered inside the burned Dr. Fugate Drive residence by state police investigators and subsequent testing has confirmed that the infant is Ms. Offutt's son, Alexis Alfred Brolin III.

Additional information about Ms. Offutt can be found at www.findjoey.org, which was created by her family to assist in locating her.

Anyone who knows Ms. Offutt's whereabouts, comes into contact with her or has had contact with her since July 5, 2007, is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 371-4652, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS or by dialing 911.
