Missing woman to be featured on ‘Most Wanted' show
Thursday, November 13, 2008
The Pennsylvania State Police and "America's Most Wanted" television show have partnered to highlight the case of Joey Lynn Offutt and to continue to search for leads into her disappearance.

The program will air on Saturday at 9 p.m. on Fox television with highlights of the search for Ms. Offutt and investigation into the death of an infant.

A yearlong investigation by members of Troop C of the Pennsylvania State Police continues into a structure fire that occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on July 12, 2007, at 90 Dr. Fugate Drive in Sykesville Borough, Jefferson County.

The fire consumed a large portion of the residence, and an investigation by the state police fire marshal concluded that the fire was intentionally set.

During the investigation, police found the body of an infant.

The police are asking for assistance from the public in locating the resident of the home, Ms. Offutt.

She is a white female, 33 years old. She is 5 feet, 3 inches tall with a thin build and brown hair and brown eyes.

She has been missing since the fire and has officially been declared a missing person and has been entered into the national crime information center database as such.

On July 16, 2007, her red Saturn Coupe bearing a Virginia registration of JXN8871 was located along Waupelani Drive in State College, but Ms. Offutt remains missing.

DNA testing on the infant confirmed that he was the son of Ms. Offutt, Alexis Alfred Brolin III.

Additional information about Ms. Offutt can be found on the Web site www.findjoey.org/default.asp, which was created by her family to assist in locating her.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts, comes into contact with her or has had contact with her since July 5, 2007, is requested to contact the DuBois-based state police at 371-4652, the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS or by dialing 911.
