State police at Clearfield
Yesterday at 6 p.m. Jamie L. Taylor of Bellefonte lost control of her all-terrain vehicle while attempting to negotiate a right curve along Peale Road in Cooper Township it traveled off the roadway, struck a dirt mound and overturned. Police reported Ms. Taylor, along with her passenger, Jack T. Lambert of Bellefonte, were thrown from the ATV.
Ms. Taylor suffered severe injuries, and was transported by Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and later flown to Altoona Regional Health System.
Mr. Lambert suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing helmets.

On Saturday at 12:40 a.m., police stopped a vehicle driven by a Ramey man along McAteer Street in Houtzdale Borough because a passenger allegedly removed items from a local convenience store without paying.
Police determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol and transported him to Clearfield Hospital for chemical testing.

Carol Sue Ricketts of Coalport reported the theft of a gas grill, propane tank and a 32-inch color TV, all valued at $400, on Thursday.
The incident took place along Oak Ridge Road in Jordan Township.
The investigation continues.

Police are investigating an incident of harassment that occurred at 3:30 p.m. Friday in which a Woodland man and woman became engaged in a physical altercation along Main Street in Woodland, Bradford Township.

James Dick of Coalport suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident yesterday at 1 p.m. along state Route 865 in Beccaria Township when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle, it traveled across the northern berm and struck a tree.
Coalport Fire Co. assisted at the scene.

Charges of retail theft were filed against a woman who stole a bag of chips from the Uni-Mart in Houtzdale Borough Saturday at 12:30 a.m. The chips were recovered by the store manager.
Clearfield Boro
A Clearfield Borough employee operating a street sweeper along Nichols Street was struck in the face with broken glass when the vehicle was shot with a BB gun.
Police ask that anyone with information call them at 765-7819.

Officers were asked to check the welfare of a person in Hyde, who left prior to police arrival.
State police at Punxsy
On Friday at 4:52 p.m., an accident took place along Bridge Street in Westover Borough when an ATV pulled into the path of a truck driven by James E. Harr of LaJose.
Both the ATV operator and passenger were ejected and landed on the roadway.
They were transported by Hastings Ambulance to Miners Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet.
State police at DuBois
An incident of disorderly conduct took place at Chapman Trailer Court in Brady Township on Saturday at 5:50 p.m., during which two DuBois women were involved in an altercation that was caused by an earlier incident.
Troopers reported one of the women threw a flowerpot through the window of a trailer during an argument.
State police at Ridgway
A 12-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by two Force women and a Kersey man yesterday following an argument that turned physical.
One woman struck the child numerous times in the head, chest and stomach while the man struck the child in the face twice.
As a result of the assault, the girl suffered serious injuries and was transported to Elk Regional Health Center by Bennett's Valley Ambulance Service.
Elk County Children, Youth and Family Services were notified. The investigation continues.
