Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield and its giant hamburgers will be featured on a segment of Rachael Ray's nationally broadcast network television show, "The Rachael Ray Show," Monday at 9 a.m. on CBS.

According to Denny Liegey, owner of Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, the segment was shot with one of the show's personalities, Justin Kredible.

"Anytime we can get more exposure for ourselves and the community, we are more than happy to do it," Mr. Liegey said.

Mr. Kredible, a magician, flew out from Los Angeles to do the segment, Mr. Liegey said.

The skit features the making of the restaurant's record-breaking 123-pound charity burger, according to Mr. Liegey.

In addition to the making of the hamburger, Mr. Liegey said he got to ad-lib a bit during the segment as well.

"It was a lot of fun," Mr. Liegey said. "It was a really neat experience."

According to Mr. Liegey, the plot of the segment is that Mr. Kredible sits down at a table and orders a 123-pound burger off of the menu and eventually comes back to the kitchen to see how it's made.

The skit was shot in October 2007 and took 4½ hours to complete, Mr. Liegey said. He was told the segment will likely be between 2-6 minutes long when it airs.

Mr. Liegey said the Rachael Ray show called him "out of the blue" and asked him if he would be willing to do the piece.

"They said Rachael Ray is the queen of hamburgers, and we think you are the king of hamburgers and asked me if I was willing to do it," Mr. Liegey  said.

This isn't the first time the restaurant has been featured on a television show - Mr. Liegey said the restaurant has been on national television at least a dozen times.

And the restaurant has received international attention as well. Last February, Germany's largest television network, NDR, filmed a segment on the restaurant.

The Travel Channel also recently spent 9½ hours filming at the restaurant for an extended segment featuring the restaurant on an upcoming show.

The time and date of its airing has not yet been released, Mr. Liegey said, but he said he was told it will likely run sometime this month.

The Travel Channel's piece features the restaurant's 15-pound burger.

Last February, Denny's Beer Barrel Pub's charity burger broke the record for the world's largest restaurant hamburger.
